摘 要：Various studies have found that the warming weather adversely impact economic activities both in the micro and macro sense. Excessively high temperature causes reduction in the overall output as well as that of the agriculture, mining, and manufacturing sectors; it reduces productivity of capital and labor, reduces labor supply, investment and exports. This study investigates the heat influence on imports and thus completes the knowledge about the temperature-trade relation. The central concern is whether imports are affected by hot weather in the same way as exports and primary reasons causing the relation. We use large-scale microeconomic survey data to determine the imports response to high temperature shocks. And several possible mechanisms are examined for the theoretical explanation of our findings.
