主讲人简介：

  Dr. McFarling received his PhD from the University of Tennessee, with specialties in the fields of Regional Economics and Economic Development, and the dissertation, "The Place of Central Places in Rural Development: Evidence from Grenada and St. Vincent, West Indies". Dr. McFarling taught for ten years at the University of Newcastle, NSW, before returning to the US to teach at a variety of two and four year institutions of Higher Education before taking a position as Visiting Professor of Economics with China Agricultural University (International College Beijing) in 2014. His published research includes work on the theory of measurement of non-functional relational, the Economics of Culture, and connecting the works of Boulding and Keynes, as well as connecting the works of Schumpeter and Commons.

  Dr. McFarling has been a principle economic analyst for the Solutionary Rail project, advocating for an electrified Steel Interstate rail corridor connecting Chicago, Illinois with Seattle, Washington. Since arriving in China, Dr. McFarling has returned to his original dissertation research to bring the "Seeds of Development" agrarian economic development strategy up to date for the 21st century.
